South Westland - South Island
One of the highlights of this Photography Workshop is to photograph NZ’s beautiful White Herons (Kotuku). At this time of the year, they have their magnificent mating feathers on display.
Haast Beach is always exciting to explore, after every tide the beach is swept through to reveal new and interesting features. With areas of driftwood that make you feel like to you are in an elephant graveyard.
We visit Bruce Bay where ancient Rimu forests stretch right down to the sea. Surrounding a sandy picturesque bay with the Southern Alps as a backdrop.
Jacksons Bay is an old fishing village with spectacular views of the ocean. The village itself is distinctly Kiwi.
This west coast photography experience is one that will stay with you for the rest of your life. It’s ‘nature’ will get under your skin and resonate with your soul. Our aim is to help you make photographs that remind you of this.
This workshop is suitable for all levels of photography.

THe Image Critique Sessions:
The downloading, critique and tutorial sessions are the foundation of the learning process.
We discuss composition and design with reference to your idea behind making the image.
The small group feedback sessions are fun and friendly. Finding out what others see your images and being able to articulate what you see in there’s helps us all to learn.
Our aim is for you to leave the tour /workshop satiated: knowing more about photography but what’s more important, knowing more about yourself and what photography means to you.
